Basketball
Find out how the Basketball CCA helps students build skills, teamwork, and good character on and off the court.
Our Purpose
Basketball at Jiemin Primary nurtures students who are resilient, responsible and ready to give their best for the team. Guided by the school's mission of nurturing hearts and minds, students develop character, confidence and a passion for the game through purposeful training and competitive experiences.
What We Learn
Students develop fundamental basketball skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting and game strategy. Beyond technical skills, they cultivate the values of respect, humility and care — learning to show good sportsmanship towards teammates and opponents, stay open to feedback, and support one another both on and off the court.
Growing Our 21st Century Competencies
Students learn to communicate and collaborate as they train and compete together. Through the challenges of competitive play, they develop resilience by bouncing back from setbacks, take responsibility for their own growth, and emerge as confident team players who understand that individual effort drives collective success.
The CCA Experience
Learning goes beyond regular training sessions. Students have the opportunity to represent Jiemin Primary in the National School Games (NSG) Basketball Tournament, putting their skills and values to the test on the competitive stage. A highlight of our recent achievements is the 2026 Senior Boys' Basketball NSG Tier 7 Silver Medal.
