Angklung Ensemble
Discover how the Angklung Ensemble builds teamwork and musical skills through a traditional South-east Asian instrument, nurturing students into well-rounded musicians with strong values.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to nurture every angklung player into an excellent musician with a heart of service. Through a balanced enrichment programme, we develop each pupil to their fullest potential while inculcating sound moral values that will guide them in all aspects of life.
What We Learn
Through Angklung, pupils develop musicality and playing skills alongside the school values that shape who they are. Music teaches the pupils more than just notes ; it builds discipline, teamwork, and the joy of creating something beautiful together.
Growing Our 21st Century Competencies
Being part of Angklung nurtures important life skills. Pupils learn to collaborate, communicate, and take responsibility as part of an ensemble, building the confidence and character needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
The CCA Experience
Our members grow through a range of key experiences. The Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) gives pupils the opportunity to perform on a national stage and take pride in representing their school. Members also participate in community and school performances, putting their talents to use in service of others.
